The Barberville Pioneer Settlement just north of DeLand, FL has invited our Sahara Sutter to another of their wonderful events for the 2025 Christmas Season. On December 13, 2025 from 9am until 4 pm, Sahara will be at the Settlement for “A Florida Christmas Remembered” to personally sign copies of her books – a great Christmas gift idea!
The event will feature traditional live Christmas music, hand-made decorations and gifts from local artists and Ford Model A’s from the 20’s and 30’s all decorated for the holiday. Bring the family for a wonderful day and take advantage of the hospitality of the Pioneer Settlement. Lunch and home-made goodies will also be available.
This is an Iconic Annual Event – Especially for the Kids and the Young at Heart!
Children’s ‘Make & Take’ Crafts— some are free and some require a small fee.
Visit Santa on the porch of our relay cabin!
Folk artists performing traditional and original Christmas music.
Mail a letter to Santa from the Historical Huntington Post Office.
Blacksmithing, Woodworking, Weaving, Spinning, Pottery, and many more Living History Demonstrations. There will also be a few arts and crafts vendors on the grounds with gift-giving products for sale. The Summer Kitchen will be open serving up our famous Pork BBQ, Burgers, and Hot Dogs. Children 12 and under FREE with paying adult. Adult Admission: $10.00 Seniors $9.00 Members are FREE!
